Starting
•
Place the unit on safe ground
•
Make sure you have a firm footing: Hold the unit firmly with
your right hand on the housing and press down
•
Hold the starter grip with your left hand
•
Pull the starter grip slowly until you feel it engage and then
give it a brisk strong pull
•
Do not pull out the starter rope all the way
– it might otherwise
break
•
Do not let the starter grip snap back. Guide it slowly back into
the housing so that the starter rope can rewind properly
Other hints on starting
If the engine stops when choke knob is on or during acceleration.
•
Move the choke knob to and continue cranking until the engine runs.
If the engine does not start
•
Make sure all settings are correct (choke knob, setting lever in run position
I
).
•
Repeat the starting procedure.
If fuel tank has been run completely dry and then refueled
•
Press the fuel pump bulb (1) at least five times
– even if the
bulb is filled with fuel
•
Now re-start the engine
As soon as the engine runs
•
Blip the throttle trigger (3)
– the choke knob moves to the
run position
I – the engine returns to idle speed.
11.9. Shut off the engine
•
Move the setting lever to 0
– the engine stops – the setting
lever springs back to the on position.
