In all configurations, users must take care when closing the chamber door that neither the Teflon
hose nor the silicone hose get squashed. If any hose is detached, the hose has to be pushed back
onto the respective connection to ensure continuity between the feedthrough and the carbon
nozzle.

In all configurations, users can choose whether to leave the stiffer Teflon hose attached or re-
moved when removing the ultramicrotome from the specimen chamber.
