Filling the Tiger Performance SBA using the 330-6052 Transfiller
As described on the previous page, the 330-6052 Transfiller is used when the
source of air is a standard Scuba cylinder with a Yoke style valve. This process
only works when the Scuba cylinder’s pressure is higher than the pressure in the
SBA’s cylinder since no compressor is used to help move the air. The pressures in
the two cylinders will equalize when both valves are opened. This means that each
subsequent filling with the same Scuba cylinder will result in less final pressure in
the SBA’s cylinder. Always check the SBA’s cylinder pressure after this procedure
to ensure that there is enough pressure (no less than 2800 psi / 193 Bar) for use.
The SBA cylinder will get hot during the transfilling. To ensure a good fill, let the
small cylinder cool to room temperature before ending the filling process.
Remove the Cap from the Fill Probe. Clean the face of the Fill Probe if necessary.
Attach the Transfiller by threading it onto the Fill Probe until it’s hand tight. (Fig. 4).
TURN THE VALVE HANDWHEEL ON THE SBA COUNTERCLOCKWISE TO THE
FULL OPEN POSITION BEFORE OPENING THE SCUBA CYLINDER VALVE.

WARNING
The Tiger SBA uses a 3000 psi (207 Bar) working pressure cylinder. If the
source cylinder being used to transfer air has a working pressure above
3000 psi, the person doing the transfilling must monitor the Compact HP
Port Pressure Gauge to make sure that the pressure fed into the SBA
does not exceed 3000 psi at any time.
