Frame Align
(Enc 1 to 3 Mode
only)
True
False
This activates frame alignment for a specific
channel. Valid for “Enc 1 to 3” mode only. This
activates logic to make sure that different channels
with different resolutions have aligned I-frames.
This allows for more seamless switching between
different resolutions / bitrates. For all channels
with Frame Alignment activated, it is important
that they all have the same GOP size and the same
“maximum delay” setting.
stop
Stop current encode session.
start
Start encode session.
update
Can be used to change the bit rate or frame rate
divider without stopping/restarting an encode
session (See Section 0).
clone
Duplicate CH tab (can be used to quickly copy CH1
values to CH2, for example).
delete
Used to delete excess tabs created by Clone.
(status)
IDLE, STOPPED,
RUNNING, POLLING
Current status of the encoder. “POLLING” indicates
“start” was pressed and the encoder is waiting for
valid input data to be detected.
Note 1: Encode Resolutions Supported:
QCIF (176x144), WQVGA (320x180), QVGA (320x240), SIF (352x240), CIF (352x288), 2-CIF
(352x576),
640x360, VGA (640x480), 4-CIF (704x576), 16:9 PAL (1024x576), D1 PAL (720x576)
D1 NTSC (720x480), 720p (1280x720), XGA (1280x1024), 1080p (1920x1080), Follow input
“Follow input” = Generate encoder resolution based on capture resolution detected
Note 2:
If input is interlaced, then Frame Rate Divider will divide the number of fields used. This means, a
conversion to progressive is done. This method allows for a reduction in bits needed / processing
power without introducing extra jerkiness when there is motion in the video. For example, if the
input is 1080i at 60 fields per second (30 frames per second), Frame Rate Divider has the following
effect:
Frame Rate Divider Output # fields used frame rate
