UNIT PLACEMENT
1. Provide a base in the pre-determined location. Refer to
Figure 1 for dimensions and to Figure 4 for clearances.
2. Unit may not be mounted on combustible flooring.
3. Remove screws securing the upper and lower shipping
brackets. Discard brackets and replace and tighten
screws. Remove the polyethylene bag and the shipping
box and discard. Inspect the unit for possible shipping
damage and report any damage on Form 50.15-NM.
4. Remove front and side access panels.
5. Remove engine locking brackets and hardware (Refer to
Figure 2). There are three locking brackets on the engine.
Facing the unit with the engine viewed through the front
access panel, there are two brackets on the right hand side
of the engine (one attached to each engine foot). The third
bracket is located on the left, front side of the engine.
6. Remove copper tube shipping supports (corrugated board)
located near left front corner post inside the unit.
7. Install unit on a surface at least as large as the minimum
base dimension shown in Figure 3. If required, isolation
pads can be used to eliminate direct contact with the house
structure. Refer to Figure 3 for pad placement.
8. Make a hole(s) in the structure wall large enough to accom-
modate the insulated vapor line, liquid line, natural gas line
and electrical wiring.
