Wire  rope  defects  requiring  immediate  replacement  and  their  causes  are

Individual  wires  bend  up  and  protrude 
through  the  strands:  serious  defect  caused 
by stress changing. 

 

 
 
 
 
Increased  diameter  of  a  parallel  winding 
wire  rope  results  in  distortion  to  the  metal
