5.5 Turning the Output On and Off
Procedure
Press
OUTPUT
. The OUTPUT key illuminates while the output is on.
If you press
OUTPUT
while the output is on, the output will stop. When the output stops,
the OUTPUT key turns off.
Explanation
Turning the Output On and Off
The output relay switches between on and off.
Note
• When the output relay operates, the source level changes as follows.
• When Output Is Turned On
The output relay turns on with the source level set to zero. After the output relay
switches, the source level is changed to the specified source level.
• When Output is Turned Off
The source level is set to zero, and then the output relay is turned off.
• When output is off, you cannot execute programs (see chapter 6) or perform measurements
(see chapter 7).
• At the 10 V and 30 V ranges, when you turn the output on, an internal process to reduce
the zero-point error takes place for 0.4 second. However, the internal process does not take
place in the following situations.
• If the output is turned on within 1 second after it is turned off.
• If output is turned on within 5 minutes after the power is turned on.
The Relationship between Capacitive and Inductive Loads and Output
• When a capacitive load is connected to the GS200 in voltage source mode, the
response time may become longer. Also, if the load has a capacitance of 10
μ
F or
greater, oscillation may occur.
• If you change the output settings drastically under the usage conditions listed above,
the limiter may be activated due to the inrush current.
• When an inductive load is connected to the GS200 in current source mode, the
response time may become longer. Also, if the load has an inductance of 1 mH or
greater, oscillation may occur.
