Slide a washer on the threaded bolt then the
press-cup with the flat side against the washer and the recess facing
in. Slide the press-cup insert on to the threaded rod. Slide another bearing
on to the threaded rod. Slide the short pin (1.3” long) on to the threaded
rod. Slide the washer and nut onto the threaded rod. Place the wrenches on
the tool and turn clockwise to cinch the assembly down. The recess on the
press cup produces the necessary relief for the reassembly.

Slide the tool and sub-assembly from the
previous step through the RateLink as shown. Slide another bearing
on to the threaded rod. Slide the second recess cup on to the threaded rod
with the recess facing towards the Ratelink. Slide the washer and nut onto
the threaded rod. Place the wrenches on the tool and turn clockwise to
cinch the assembly down.

Remove the nut and washer from the tool and
place one thin washer on the short pin (1.3” long) as shown. Slide the
tool and sub-assembly configuration from the previous step through the
RateLink and then through the shock.

Slide on thin washer onto the threaded bolt
followed by one bearing. Place the second press-cup insert onto the

Place the wrenches on the tool and turn
clockwise to cinch the assembly down.
thread prep
Yeti recommends prepping all threads with
Loctite or grease. The medium strength (blue) formula along
with proper torque is ideal for keep the bolts snug.

Slide a washer on the threaded bolt then the
press-cup with the flat side against the washer and the recess facing
in. Slide a bearing on to the threaded rod followed by the long pin (1.5”

Place the Dogbone over the RateLink and
shock body. Slide the female pivot bolt with the small washer through
the pin. Attach the male Yeti bolt and washer to the female bolt. Place the
5mm allen keys on the bolt and turn clockwise to cinch the assembly down
(torque specification: 125-150 inch pounds). Center the rateLink over the
shock and cinch down the 5mm socket cap head bolt.
Torque spec: 125-150 inch pounds.
frame assemblY
On the AS-X the swingarm must be installed
first. This is because it is very tricky to maneuver the swing arm
into position if the shock linkage is already in place. Line the main pivot
bearings up to the frame mount and tap the machined pin onto place with
he dead blow hammer. Do not forget to apply grease to the pin before
insertion.
