CONDITIONS OF OPERATION

Make sure the source of compressed air permits to reach the adequate operating pressure and the required air flow. If the air

pressure is too high, it is necessary to use a reducer with a safety valve. The pneumatic device must be powered through a filter

and lubricator system. It will guarantee cleanliness and lubrication of the air with oil. The conditions of the filter and the lubricator

must be revised before each use and, if necessary, the filter must be cleaned and the level of oil in the lubricator replenished. It

will guarantee appropriate operation of the device and prolong its durability.

During work adapt a position that will counteract normal or unpredictable movements of the machine.

Before replacement of the head or any other element, the riveting machine must be disconnected from the source of compressed air.

It is prohibited to use the machine without the rivet head, since it increases the risk of c

RUS

hing a part of the body by the machine.

It is prohibited to use the machine without the protection against ejected, cut stems of the rivets.

In case of an interruption of the power supply of the device, release the trigger of the machine.

It is necessary to use solely those lubricants and preservation agents which are recommended in the following part of the manual.

During work, it is necessary to wear protective goggles; it is recommended to use gloves and protective uniform.

OPERATION OF THE DEVICE

Before each use of the machine, make sure that no element of the pneumatic system is damaged. If any damage has been ob-

served, it is necessary to replace the damaged element with new elements of the system which are not damaged.

Before each use of the pneumatic system, it is necessary to dry the condensed humidity inside the machine, the compressor and

the pipes.

Connection of the machine to the pneumatic system

The drawing presents the recommended connection of the machine to the pneumatic system. The presented connection will

guarantee the most effective use of the tool, and will prolong its durability.

Place a couple of drops of SAE 10 viscosity oil to the air inlet.

Screw tightly to the thread of the air inlet a proper adapter that makes it possible to connect the air supply hose (II)

Install a proper adapter on the driver of the machine.

Use solely the equipment which is adapted for operation with percus-

sive devices.

Wherever it is possible, adjust the pressure.

Connect the machine to the pneumatic system using a pipe of the internal diameter 1/4” (6,3 mm). Make sure, the resistance of

the pipe is at least 1.38MPa. (III)

Turn the device on for a few seconds to make sure it does not emit any irregular sounds or vibrations.

Installation and replacement of the equipment

Mount the cover on the broken rivet mandrels by pressing on its handle at the back of the tool (IV). It is forbidden to use the riveting

machine without mounted cover.

Mount the head which is appropriate to the performed work (V). The head should be selected in terms of length and diameter of

used rivets. It is forbidden to use the riveting machine without mounted head.

If it is necessary to exchange the jaws when, for example, the rivets will not be tightened despite the correct use of riveting ma-

chine, they jaws should be replaced (VI). To do this, you should unscrew the head handle with head by using the key. After remov-

ing the handle you should unscrew the jaws with a key, holding its mounting with second key. After removing the jaws handle they

should be exchanged for new ones and assembled in reverse order.  All screwed connections should be firmly tightened.

It is possible to attach the hanger to riveting machine, which would allow to hang it during breaks at work. To do this, you should

place the ends of hanger in housing holes of the riveting machine (VIII).

Riveting machine operation

You should drill a hole of diameter of the rivets, which are applied to join the elements. Put a rivet in the hole.

Mount all the equipment elements in rivet machine.

Mount the right head. Supported diameters of rivets are marked on the head.

Connect the riveting machine to a pneumatic system.

Place the head of riveting machine on the protruding rivet mandrel, so that it touches the rivet (VII).

Press the trigger by pressing riveting machine to a rivet, after riveting and cutting off the rest of the rivet, the tool is ready for next riveting.

In the course of work the cut off (broken) parts of rivets mandrels accumulate in the container located on the housing back. It

should be regularly emptied, by detaching the container or through the gap, so as not allow to completely fil it.

After finished work you should dismantle the pneumatic system and preserve the tool.

MAINTENANCE

Never use petrol, solvents or other inflammable liquids to clean the device. The vapours may ignite and cause an explosion of the

tool and, in consequence, serious injuries.
