2. Roll the auger belt off the motor pulley. See Figure 37.
a. Loosen and remove the shoulder screw which acts as a belt keeper.
b. Unhook the support bracket spring from the frame. See Figure 38.

3. Remove the belt from around the auger pulley, and slip the belt between the support bracket
and the auger pulley. Reassemble auger belt by following instructions in reverse order.
NOTE:
Do NOT forget to reinstall the shoulder screw and reconnect the spring to the frame
after installing a replacement auger belt.
Augers
• The auger are secured to the spiral shaft with two shear pins and cotter pins. If the auger
should strike a foreign object or ice jam, the snow blower is designed so that the pins may
shear. See Figure 39.
