Figure 8-11

9. Install a new seal 

(Figure 8-11, (1))

 in the oil 

filter housing.

10. Install oil cooler onto oil filter housing.

11. Install and connect coolant pipe. Secure to 

cylinder head with screw.

12. Install new oil filter element and tighten cap to 

25 N

·

m (225 in.-lb).

13. Fill the engine with coolant.

14. Run engine and check for oil or water leaks.

Remove and Install Oil Filter Housing

1. Drain engine coolant. 

See Draining and Filling 

Closed Cooling System on page 7-12.

2. Remove oil filter cartridge. 

See Replace Engine 

Oil and Engine Oil Filter Element on page 8-12.
