ADJUSTING THE EXHAUST GAS VOLUME
(For Europe and Oceania only)

NOTE:

Be sure to set the CO density level to stan-
dard, and then adjust the exhaust gas volume.

1. Remove the seat.

Refer to “SEAT, FENDERS AND FUEL
TANK”.

2. Turn the main switch to “OFF” and set the

engine stop switch to “RUN”.

3. Remove the self-diagnosis signal coupler

cap, and then connect the FI diagnostic tool

as shown.

4. While pressing the “MODE” button

, turn

the main switch to “ON”.

NOTE:

• “DIAG” appears on the LCD

of the FI diag-

nostic tool.

• “POWER” LED (green)

comes on.

5. Press the “UP” button to select the CO

adjustment mode “CO” or the diagnostic
mode “DIAG”.

6. After selecting “CO”, press the “MODE” but-

ton.

7. Check that “C1” appears on the LCD of the

FI diagnostic tool, and then press the
“MODE” button.

8. Start the engine.

CAUTION:

Perform the adjustment after the battery
has been sufficiently charged.
