The drive gear is mounted on the crankshaft;

the driven gear is mounted on the transmission
and is intergrated with the clutch assembly.

Deburr or replace.

Chafing/Wear/Damage

Replace.

Clutch

Boss

The clutch boss contains a built-in damper

beneath the friction plate

and clutch plate

is not necessary t o remove the wire

circlip

and disassemble the built-in damper

unless there is serious clutch chattering.
