REAR WHEEL AND BRAKE

EAS00573

INSTALLING THE BRAKE SHOES
1. Install:

• brake camshaft lever

NOTE:

• Align the punch mark

in the brake cam-

shaft with the mark

on the brake camshaft

lever.

• Lubricate the brake camshaft and pin with

lithium soap base grease.

WARNING

After installing the rear brake camshaft,
remove any excess grease.

2. Install:

• brake shoes

NOTE:

Do not to damage the springs during installa-
tion.

INSTALLING THE REAR WHEEL
1. Tighten:

• wheel axle nut

CAUTION:

Do not loosen the wheel axle nut after tight-
ening it to the specified torque.

2. Install:

• rear brake cable
• adjuster

3. Adjust:

• brake lever free play

Refer to “ADJUSTING THE REAR BRAKE”
in chapter 3.
