REMOVING THE SECONDARY PULLEY 
AND V-BELT
1. Remove: 

• air shroud
• fan

Refer to “GENERATOR AND AUTOLUBE
PUMP”.

2. Remove: 

• clutch housing nut

• clutch housing

NOTE:

While holding the clutch housing with the
sheave holder

, loosen the clutch housing

nut.

• secondary pulley

• V-belt

NOTE:

Pull the secondary sliding sheave out as
shown, remove the V-belt from the primary
pulley, and then remove the secondary pulley

 along with the V-belt

• clutch carrier nut

CAUTION:

Do not remove the clutch carrier nut at this
stage. 

NOTE:

While holding the clutch carrier with the rotor
holding tool

, loosen the clutch carrier nut

one full turn with the locknut wrench.
