Replacing a headlight bulb

1. Remove the top cover. (See pages 8-5–8-7 for

removal procedures.)

2. Remove the screws, and then remove the headlight

access panel.

3. Disconnect the headlight coupler.
4. Remove the bulb holder cover.
5. Unhook the bulb holder by pushing it in, then clock-

wise.

6. Remove the bulb.

WARNING

Keep flammable products and your hands away from
the hot bulb until it has cooled down.

7. Install the new bulb, and then hook the bulb holder

onto the headlight unit.

8. Install the bulb holder cover, and then connect the

headlight coupler.

9. Install the headlight access panel and the top cover.

CAUTION:

Keep oil and your hands away from the glass part of
the bulb or its life and illumination will be affected.
If the glass is oil stained, thoroughly clean it with a
cloth moistened with alcohol or lacquer thinner.
