Knob A: ATTACK
Adj u sts the Attack Time (the amo u nt of time it
takes the so u nd to reach maxim u m le v el w hen a
key is played). T u rning the kno b to the right
increases the Attack Time, th u s slo w ing do w n the
attack rate.

Knob B: RELEASE
Adj u sts the Release Time (the amo u nt of time it
takes for the so u nd to decay to silence after a key
is released). T u rning the kno b to the right
increases the Release Time, th u s making a longer
s u stain.
The chart b elo w lists some interesting w ays to u se the v ario u s effects that can b e assigned to the kno b s.
Some Ideas for Usin g the Knobs
• These effects are applied only to KEYBOARD. The target
cannot be switched to BACKING.

PURA 4] bu ttons). Play w ith these Kno b s as the patterns loop, sing along if yo u w ish,
and create yo u r o w n performance.

RIYAZ TEMPO/RIYAZ
KEY
Kno b A adj u sts the tempo of Riyaz play b ack. Setting to the minim u m left-most position
res u lts in half the defa u lt tempo, w hile setting to the maxim u m right-most position res u lts
in do ub le the defa u lt tempo. The center position corresponds to the defa u lt tempo. Note
that the tempo cannot exceed the range (11–280), and that the tempo of the Tanp u ra pat-
terns w ill not change e v en if yo u rotate Kno b A. Kno b B raises or lo w ers the pitch of the
Riyaz so u nd in semitones. Regarding the Ta b la, only the higher so u nd (assigned to the
[2] bu tton) w ill b e transposed. Rotating the kno b left w ard lo w ers the pitch w hile rotating
the kno b right w ard raises the pitch.
Use these kno b s to set the desired tempo and key, sing along if yo u w ish, and create
yo u r o w n performance!

Select “183 Gemini” (a synth-lead type Voice) or “210 Noise”. Select

Select the Voice “048 CP80.” Select

cessed so u nd of the Voice. As yo u t u rn Kno b B to w ard the right, a Chor u s effect w ith
mod u lation is grad u ally applied to the so u nd. T u rning Kno b A to the right adds a Re v er b
effect that makes yo u so u nd like yo u are playing in a concert hall.

Select the Voice, “059 Cool!Org.” Select

w ith [KNOB ASSIGN] bu tton, and then s w itch
the target to KEYBOARD. Press the [DSP] bu tton to t u rn the DSP on, then set the DSP
type (F u nction 042) to “01 RotarySp.” Use Kno b A to change the rotating speed of the
rotary speaker w hile playing the key b oard. W hen yo u mo v e it slo w ly, yo u can create grad-
u al speed changes like on a real rotary speaker. Use Kno b B to control the distortion.

ATTACK/RELEASE
Select the Voice “213 RSAnPad.” T u rning Kno b A all the w ay do w n makes the attack
faster, and lets yo u hear the crisp, clear so u nd of the original Voice. T u rning Kno b B all
the w ay do w n shortens the amo u nt of time for the so u nd to decay to silence after a key is
released. These kno b s let yo u finely adj u st the Voice to create the appropriate so u nd for
the partic u lar song yo u ’re playing.
• The pitch of Tabla 2 may not be changed depending on the Riyaz pattern.
