DSP is an a bb re v iation for Digital Signal Processor,
and pro v ides effects that enhance the so u nd. DSP
effects are applied only to a specified target as
descri b ed b elo w .
Parts to which DSP effects are applied

Press the [DSP] button to turn DSP on.
Altho u gh t u rning on DSP w ill select a DSP type
s u ita b le for the c u rrent panel setting, yo u can
select a different DSP type as descri b ed in the
follo w ing steps.

Hold down the [DSP] button for lon g er
than a second to call up “DSP Type”
(Function 040).
After a fe w seconds, the c u rrent DSP type
appears.

Rotate the dial to select a DSP type.
For information a b o u t the a v aila b le DSP types,
refer to the Effect Type List in the Data List.

W hen KEYBOARD is selected, the DSP affects
the Main Voice, D u al Voice or track 1 of a User
Song. W hen BACKING is selected, it affects the
Style, Groo v e Creator or track A of a User Song.

off.

Limitations when recordin g a Son g
• DSP effects can b e recorded only to Tracks 1 and
A.
• The DSP type and target cannot b e changed
w hile recording.
• W hen recording to an existing User Song, if the
target to w hich the DSP effects are applied differs
from the recording tracks, DSP related setting
data (DSP target, type, parameter A/B) w ill not b e
recorded or o v er w ritten.
• The DSP effects may not b e applied as expected
w hen a User Song is b eing played b ack. This is
b eca u se the DSP effects are affected b y the data
recorded to the User Song.
