INSTALLING THE TRANSMISSION

1. Install: 

• main axle assembly 

• shift fork “C” 
• shift drum assembly
• shift fork “R” 
• shift fork “L” 
• shift fork guide bars
• shift drum retainer

• drive axle assembly

NOTE:

• When installing the main axle assembly, use

a pin to align the bearing housing bolt hole
with the corresponding hole in the upper
crankcase. 

• The embossed marks on the shift forks

should face towards the right side of the
engine and be in the following sequence:
“R”, “C”, “L”. 

• Make sure the drive axle bearing circlip 

1

 is

inserted into the grooves

 in the upper

crankcase. 

• The drive axle bearing pin

 must face

towards the rear of the crankcase.
