Remote answer-back
(for EGO GEAR)
This vehicle is equipped with a remote
answer-back. The remote answer-back
unit can help you find the location of
your parked vehicle. The remote answer-
back unit operations are described
below.
To find the location of your parked
vehicle
Press the remote control button on the
main key to flash the turn signal lights
twice and sound the electronic alert
twice.
TIP
If the main key is not used in nine
days, the remote operation func-
tions are automatically canceled
to reduce load on the battery.
When the main switch is turned to
“ON” again, function is restored.
Holding the remote answer-back
improperly or other obstructions can
reduce the effective range.
NOTICE

The main key contains a battery and
electronic circuits. Handle it careful-
ly. Therefore:
Do not place heavy items or ex-
cessive stress on the main key.
Do not expose it to excessively
high temperatures.
Do not grind any key or alter its
shape.

Do not place or keep the remote
answer-back in the compartment.
The remote answer back will dam
age with the impact and heat.
Do not drop the remote answer-
back or subject it to strong impacts.
Do not submerge it in water or
other liquids.
Replacing remote battery
Replace the battery if answer-back func
tion does not operate when the button
is pushed.

The battery and other remov-
able parts may cause injury if
swallowed. Keep the battery
and other removable parts away
from children.
Do not expose the battery to di-
rect sunlight or other heat
sources.
NOTICE

Use a cloth when opening the
smart key case with a screw-
driver. Direct contact with hard
objects may damage or scratch
the remote.
