1. Warm up the engine for a few minutes.
2. Attach:

Digital tachometer

Digital tachometer:

3. Measure:

Economy control engine speed and

engine speed (with no load)

Out of specification

Adjust

Economy control engine speed
(with no load):
2300–2400 r/min
Engine speed (with no load):
3110–3210 r/min

4. Adjust:

Economy control engine speed

Adjustment steps:
a. Turn the economy control switch

to “I”

(ON).

b. Turn the adjusting screw to obtain the

proper engine speed.
