Brake hose

Union bolt

Brake lever

NOTE:

●

Tighten the union bolt, while holding the
brake hose.

●

Check that the brake hose does not contact
other parts (throttle cables, wire harness,
leads, etc.) when turning the handlebar left
and right.

WARNING

●

Proper hose routing is essential to ensure
safe machine operation. Refer to “CABLE
ROUTING”.

●

Always use new copper washers.

4.Install:

●

Front brake light switch

Union bolt:

27 Nm (2.7 m • kg, 19 ft • lb)

New

5.Fill:

●

Brake master cylinder reservoir

CAUTION:

Brake fluid may erode painted surfaces of
plastic parts. Always clean up spilled fluid
immediately.

WARNING

●

Use only the recommended brake fluid.
Other brake fluids may cause the rubber
seals to deteriorate, causing leakage and
poor brake performance.
