CLARIFIER  ALIGNMENT 

1 .   Tune  in  the  marker  generator  signal  on  any 

band ,  and  peak  the  preselector on  the  m arker 
sign al. 

2 .  

With  the  CLARIF IE R  control  OFF,  make 
sure  that  the  CLARIFIER knob  is  exactly  at 
the  1 2  o ' clock  position .  Note  the  tone  of the 
marker signal . 

3 .  

Switch  the  RX  CLARIF IER  to  ON,  and 
observe  the  tone  of  the  m arker  sign al .  If  it  is 

different  from  when  the  clarifier  was  turned 
off,  adj ust  V R 1 80 1   for an identical  tone  with 
the  CLARIF IER  knob  exactly  on  the  zero 

mark. 

COUNTER  UNIT 

The  carrier p oints for USB ,  LSB, and  CW are  preset 
as  follows :  USB 

9 1 . 0 1 1 . 0 ;  LSB 

9 1 . 0 1 4 . 0 ;  CW 

9 1 .0 1 1 . 7 .   If,  for  some  reason ,  it  is desired to set 

these  frequencies  elsewhere ,  refer  to  the  "Fre­

quency  Counter  Preset  Swit ch  Position"  drawing 
and  chart .  Adjustment  of  ± 200  Hz  is  possible  as 
shown .  The  adjustment  is  carried  out  on  the 
miniature swit ch shown in the d rawing.
