FIXED CHANNEL CRY ST AL INFO RMATION
Two fixed channels may be used with your FT-
10 1 ZD, using optional crystals. Crystals are
available from your Yaesu dealer. Cryst als must
meet the specifications shown in Tab le
2
,
and
must fall within the operating range 5 500 - 5000
kHz. Frequen cy calculation is made from the
formula

For example , let us say it is desired to operate on
7 19 9 kHz LSB. Referring to 11abl e 1 , we see than

Inspection of the values of F

in Table 2 will
reveal that the 7199 kHz crystal for LSB will work
on 1 419 9 kHz , 21199 kHz, etc. Of course , LSB is
not norm ally used on these bands. If the operator
swit ches to USB, the operating frequency will be
moved 3 kHz (in this case, to 1 4 19 6 kHz , 2 1 196
kHz , et c.). If the move is m ade from LSB to CW,
the frequen cy will move 2 . 3 kHz down .
