Parking Brake Indicator (light) Switch Adjustment
The parking indicator switch, which is activated by the parking lever, is properly
adjusted when the indicator light comes on just before braking takes effect. If
necessary, adjust the parking indicator switch as follows.
1. Open the hood. (See 7. CONTROL AND PARTS FUNCTIONS in this manual for
hood opening and closing procedures.)
2. Turn the adjusting nut in or out to make the light come on properly, then lock the
lock nut .
(all-purpose grease)
ENGINE IDLE RPM ADJUSTMENT
Throttle Free Play Inspection
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Put gear in Neutral position.
3. Start the engine, and warm it up thoroughly.
4. Measure the distance the throttle pedal moves before the engine begins to pick up
seep. Free play should be 1/16” to 1/8” (1.5-3mm).
Throttle Free Play Adjustment
Throttle cable free play is adjusted at
the cable, under the passenger seat.
1, Slide the boots off. Loosen adjuster
locknut.
2, Turn adjuster until 1/16” to 1/8” (1.5 to
3mm) free-play is achieved at the
throttle pedal.
NOTE:
While adjusting free play, it is
important you flip the throttle pedal back
