Log Priority for Modules
This function allows you to select the amount of information you would like to see on
each of the Syslog modules. The lowest level will show the least information and the
highest level will show the most. The Syslog log has eight (8) different levels of analysis:
Emerg
- This level will log major malfunctions. Critical entries that show up in
the log indicate that router is experiencing a critical problem that cause
malfunctions.
Alert
- This level will log problems that may cause the router to malfunctions but
are not critical to router operation.
Critical
- This level will log entries in the syslog that do not impede on the
operation of the router but may escalate to a larger problem.
Error
- This log level will display messages that result in a failed operation such
as failed packet transmissions. The most likely cause of these messages is an
improper gateway configuration.
Warning
- This log level displays potential issues that may result in an Error or a
Critical Error. The most likely cause of messages tagged as Warning is improper
configuration in the Twin WAN Gateway. You may also get Warning messages
when you approach the hardware limit of this device.
Notice - This log level displays more indepth issues than the Information log level
but the same purpose notification.
Information
- The messages tagged as Information display the actions the Twin
WAN Gateway is taking. This level allows you to troubleshoot common problems
with the gateway. This level is selected by default.
Debug
- This level displays the most information and is used by developers to
troubleshoot various problems. If you are experiencing problems with the device
and contact support, you may be asked to record the log with log level set to
Debug
.
SNTP Configuration
Select the respective time zone of the Twin WAN Gateway. You are permitted to
synchronize the Twin WAN Gateway with up to three (3) SNTP servers.
