SNMPv3
SNMPv3 can be enabled to create an encrypted channel for secure machine management.
1.
At your workstation, open the web browser and enter the
IP Address
of the machine in the
Address Bar.
2.
Press
Enter
.
3.
Select the
Properties
icon.
4.
If prompted, enter the
Administrator
User Name
(
admin
)
and
Password
(
1111
), and select
Login
.
Click
Properties.
5.
In
the
Network Settings
link select the
SNMP
link.
6.
Select
the
SNMPv3
link. The
SNMPv3
page displays.
7.
In the
Setup
area:
a.
Click the
Enable
box to enable
SNMPv3 Protocol
.
b.
In the
Authentication
area, enter the required
User Name
.
c.
Enter a password in the
Authentication Password
field.
d.
Enter the password again in the
Confirm Password
field.
e.
For
Authentication Algorithm
, select either
MD5
or
SHA
.
f.
Enter a password in the
Privacy Password
field.
g.
Enter the password in the
Confirm Password
field.
h.
The
Privacy Algorithm
displays.
8.
Select
Apply
to save the changes.
9.
Select
OK
when the acknowledgement message displays.
