Service Tools
Service Tools are diagnostic, logging, and analysis tools, used primarily by a <Select Value> representative
that services your printer. If you are troubleshooting a problem with a <Select Value> representative on
the phone, you may be asked to use the Service Tools.
Using Service Tools
1.
At the control panel, touch
Printer
.

Touch the
Tools
tab, then touch
Setup
.

Touch
Service Tools
.
4.
Touch an option:
Fault History
lists recent errors that occurred on the printer.
Reset Faults
clears Fault History records.
Network Log
allows you to download a record of network activity and diagnostic information.
Service Diagnostics
and
Panel Diagnostics
are diagnostic tools used by <Select Value>
representatives.
Reset HFSI Counters
allows you to reset the life counter for a customer replaceable part and
continue printing. Reset the counter after the part is replaced.
Reset NVRAM
allows you to reset the printer to a default state. Only reset the NVRAM if a
<Select Value> representative instructs you to.
Metered Supplies
is a troubleshooting tool, used only by <Select Value> representatives.
