Term Explanation
A4, A3, B4, B5 These are common metric paper sizes. Refer to Chapter 9, Paper &
Stock, for more details.
Calendar-type
orientation A 2-sided page where the second side has the same orientation as the
first when viewed from top to bottom.
Error Sheet Error sheets are generated when a print or copy job is unexpectedly
terminated by the system, or when a job is completed without all of
the requested features (e.g. stapling, special paper, fonts).
gsm The metric designation for paper weight in grams per square meter.
Job Queue The Document Centre has the ability to stack jobs as it processes
them. This feature enables the Document Centre to scan ahead. The
Job Queue can be accessed via the Job Status pathway button. For
more information refer to Chapter 4, Job Status.
Job Review
Summaries These are text descriptions on the screen next to feature buttons and
that identify the current setting of the button.
Keypad The numeric buttons on the User Interface.
Long Edge Feed
(LEF) As the paper is fed into the machine from either the Document
Feeder or any of the Paper Trays, the longest edge of the paper enters
the machine first.
