Using the Control Panel

Symbol Set When you select a symbol set for the
PCL 5 mode, you are selecting a subset of the
available alphabetic and numeric characters,
punctuation, and special-purpose symbols in a
font.  *

ROMAN-8 is the factory default symbol

set.  Table 2-2 lists the resident symbol sets
