b. Remove the 2 metal screws securing the parallel interface (fig. 6.18).

c. Remove the 4 screws securing the controller board to the printer (fig.
6.19).
d. Slide one finger under the top right corner of the controller board and lift
slightly; then grasp the left memory bank latch (fig. 6.20).

e. Lift the board up and out toward the front of the printer (fig. 6.21). Then,
set the board on a clean surface next to the printer.
3. Unpack the optional IDE hard disk and attach the stand-off posts and IDE
ribbon cable to the disk.
