STEP 5.
Next, slide your feet under the foot
straps. Then slide the tree tether up the tree as
high as you can reach.
NOTE:
To tighten the foot
straps simply push your feet outward when
climbing or descending. This will keep the
strap tight.
STEP 6.
Grasp the sides of the stand by the
armrests and lift the seat platform as high
as possible while still being able to rest your
weight on the armrests. Remain Standing.
STEP 7.
While standing, place your weight on
your forearms as shown in Figure 6a. With your
weight centered squarely on your forearms, lift
the foot platform by lifting your knees with your
toes pointed downward. (Fig 6). Lift the foot
platform to a comfortable distance from the
seat platform and re-engage it on the tree trunk
by raising your toes upward and pushing your
heels down. Once the foot platform has been
re-engaged, while holding the seat platform
stand back up on the foot platform and lift the
seating platform to a comfortable height. (Fig
7). Repeat STEP 7 until you have reached your
desired climbing height. Remember to move
your harness tree belt up as you climb. (Fig 8)
STEP 8.
Once you have reached your desired
climbing height, the security straps must be
tightened to cinch and secure the X-Stand to
the tree trunk. Once you have reached your
desired hunting height, sit down on the seating
platform. While seated, reach down and pull
the tag ends (loose ends) of the security straps
to tighten both strap. By doing so, you lock
the seating and standing platforms to the tree.
NOTE:
You must loosen these straps prior to
attempting to climb down.
