Where the air is turbulent, such as near ceiling fans, heat vents, air conditioner vents, fresh air return vents, or open
windows. Excessive air flow may prevent any CO from reaching the sensors.

Near large metal surfaces or where there are lots of cables or wires that can cause interference.

Near fluorescent lights, amateur radios, electrical equipment, or other units that may transmit an RF signal, as
electronic noise can cause false alarms.
Installation Method
NOTE: Before installation, it is recommended to test the interconnectedalarms in the rooms where you intend to
install them to ensure that they are within transmission range and that nothing will interfere with their
communication.
1.
Twist to remove the mounting bracket. Hold the mounting bracket at the installation position with the flat side
facing toward the wall and the curved hole at the lower position.
2.
Mark 2 screw holes according to the holes on the mounting bracket, then remove the bracket and drill the screw
holes to a depth of 1.18 in (30 mm) using a 1/4 in (Ø6.0 mm) drill bit.
3.
Insert the anchor plugs into the holes, then tap them in with a hammer until their heads are flush with the wall.

Screw the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws or two 0.13 × 0.98 in (3.5 × 25 mm)countersunk
5.
Attach the alarm to the mounting bracket and tighten by twisting clockwise.
6.
Test the unit by pressing the TEST/HUSH button. Ensure the unit sounds in an alarm pattern.
