Packaging

Your instrument packaging should contain all the items listed below. If any of these items are missing or

damaged, contact X-Rite or your Authorized Representative.

Installing the Battery Pack

Your new instrument is shipped from the factory with the battery pack removed. The battery pack is located in

the instrument case and should be charged before use. Refer to "Charging the Battery Pack" later in this section

for charging details. The instrument will also operate from the AC adapter without a battery pack installed.

Carefully turn the instrument over and slide open the latch (1) that secures the battery pack access cover.

Open the access cover.

Slide the new battery pack (2) into the instrument with the battery contacts facing down until the battery is

positioned below the holding latch (3).
