Create Storage Volumes

This section briefly describes the steps to create storage volumes. For more detail on this process, see 
“Creating Volumes” on page 58.
1. Select 

Storage

create volume

 from the navigation bar on the Web-Mgt.

The 

Storage Configuration

 view appears.

2. Enter a unique volume name, select the 

Cache Policy

, and select an available pool, the RAID level, and the 

size.

3. Create a volume-host mapping scheme by selecting the appropriate hosts from the 

Available Hosts

 list and

clicking 

Add

 to add them to the 

Selected Hosts

 list.

4. Click

 SUBMIT

.

The 

Volume Summary

 view appears, showing the volumes that have been created with the volume-host 

mapping.

5. To create additional volumes, repeat Step 1 through Step 4 in this procedure until all desired volumes have

been created.

Customize and Maintain

With the ISE configured, other procedures are available to further customize and maintain the ISE:
•

Set up SNMP traps, destinations, and contacts and view or download the MIB file (“SNMP Setup” on 
page 53)

•

Add or modify existing system, host, and storage configurations (“Volume and Host Configuration” on 
page 75)

•

Display setup, configuration, and status information about the system, storage, hosts, environment, 
events, performance, and more (“Monitoring” on page 101)

•

Perform maintenance activities (“Maintenance” on page 125)
