Trickle Charging
The battery charger “recognises” the respective
charging condition of the battery and immediately
switches to compensation charging when the battery
is fully charged. This largely compensates possible
capacity losses based on self-discharging of the bat-
tery.
Afterwards, the charge indicator
15
lights up contin-
uously. The battery is now fully charged and can be
removed immediately.
This charging process preserves the battery and it
always remains fully charged over longer periods of
storage in the connected battery charger.
Cooling Delay
If a too warm battery is slid onto the charger, an auto-
matic cooling delay occurs. The battery charger does
not switch to the charging mode until the battery has
cooled down, or until the temperature lies between 4 °C
and 40 °C.
❏
For continuous operation or several successive
charging cycles without interruption, the warms up.
This is normal and can lengthen the charging time.
❏
A new battery or one that has not been used for an
extended period of time requires five charging/dis-
charging cycles to gain its full capacity.
❏
A substantial drop in operating period per charge
indicates that the battery must be replaced.
Replacing/Inserting the
Saw Blade (see figure
)
❏
Before any work on the machine, remove the
battery.
❏
When inserting and changing the saw blade 17
we recommend wearing protective gloves.
Unfold the saw blade release
4
.
Insert the saw blade (teeth facing in the direction of
the cut) into the saw blade holder until it engages.
When inserting the saw blade, make sure that the
back of the saw blade engages in the groove of the
guide roller
7
.
To remove the saw blade, completely tilt back the
saw blade release
4
.
Initial Operation
Inserting the Battery
Insert the battery
10
into the casing of the machine
until the battery unlocking buttons
9
engage.
Switching On and Off
To
start
the machine, first press the switch lock.
Afterwards, press the On/Off switch
3
and keep it
pressed.
To
switch off
the machine, press the On/Off
switch
3
and then release it.
Stepless Stroke-speed Control
Lightly pressing the On/Off switch
3
results in low
stroke speed. Applying more pressure increases the
stroke speed.
Contact Protector
The contact protector
5
attached to the housing pre-
vents unintentional contact with the saw blade while
working and should not be removed.
Sawdust Blower Device
The sawdust blower device leads an air jet to the
saw blade. The air jet keeps sawdust from covering
the cutting line during operation.
The air jet can be adjusted with the switch for the
sawdust blower device
1
:
Sawdust-blower setting 0:
– For sawing in metal and operation with coolant/
lubricant as well as when working with dust/chip
extraction.
Sawdust-blower setting 1:
– For sawing in wood, plastic and similar materials
with low chip removal rate (low cutting speed).
Sawdust-blower setting 2:
– For sawing in wood, plastic and similar materials
with high chip removal rate (high cutting speed).
Pendulum Action Setting
The pendulum action can be adjusted
in four steps with the adjustment
lever
12
. Switching is possible with
the machine running:
Step 0:
No pendulum action
Step I:
Small pendulum action
Step II:
Medium pendulum action
Step III:
Large pendulum action
Recommendations:
– The more narrow and clean the cutting edge
should be, the lower the pendulum action level
should be selected (or switched off).
– For thin materials, e. g. sheet metal, switch the
