8 What to do if ...
8.1 Information on errors
Log book The universal transmitter DIQ/S 181 performs a comprehensive cycli-
cal self test during operation. When doing so, the DIQ/S 181 identifies
all states that deviate from normal operation and enters corresponding
messages in the log book (information or error message).
With the aid of the log book, you can call up instructions on how to clear
the error directly on the terminal. The log book is described in detail in
section 4.4.3 L

Cause Remedy
– System error Reset the DIQ/S 181:
– Switch off the power supply
and switch it on again after
10 s
Cause Remedy
– Communication with the sensor
interrupted
– Check the cable connection
– Error in the sensor – Switch off the power supply
and switch it on again after
10 s
Cause Remedy
– A system language was selected
that is not available in the sen-
sor.
The English language was acti-
vated instead of the selected
system language.
