5.3.3.2. The Boot / Sequence Delay Period.
The Boot / Sequence Delay value will be applied differently for reboot
operations as opposed to simple On/Off operations as described below:
1.
Reboot Cycles:
a)
Single Circuit:
The Boot/Seq. Delay determines how long the
circuit will remain Off before it is switched back On again.
b)
Several Circuits:
The Boot/Seq. Delay determines how long the
circuit will remain "Off", and also how long the RPC will pause
before proceeding to the next circuit.
2.
On/Off Switching:
The Boot/Seq. Delay determines how long the RPC
will pause before proceeding to the next circuit.
Examples:
Assume that a user is only allowed access to circuits one through
four, and that the Boot / Sequence Delays for each circuit have been set as
follows: Circuit 1 = 1 Second, Circuit 2 = 2 Seconds, Circuit 3 = 5 Seconds,
Circuit 4 = 1 Minute.
If the user applies an "On" command to all four circuits, the RPC will respond
as follows:
1. Turn On Circuit 1, Wait 1 Second.
2. Turn On Circuit 2, Wait 2 Seconds.
3. Turn On Circuit 3, Wait 5 Seconds.
4. Turn On Circuit 4.
If a "Reboot" Command is applied to Circuit 3, the RPC will respond
as follows:
1. Turn Off Circuit 3, Wait 5 Seconds, Turn On Circuit 3.
If a Reboot Command is applied to all four circuits, the RPC will respond
as follows:
1. Turn Off all four Circuits (short delay between Circuits.)
2. Wait 1 Second, Turn On Circuit 1, Wait 1 Second.
3. Wait 2 Seconds, Turn On Circuit 2, Wait 2 Seconds.
4. Wait 5 Seconds, Turn On Circuit 3, Wait 5 Seconds.
5. Wait 1 Minute, Turn on Circuit 4.
