angles rotate the base so the angle markings on the base plate line up
with the markings on the angle plate for preset angles (0°, 15°, 30°,
45°). For other miter angles, rotate to your desired angle. Following
one of the above procedures, hold the base plate in position and
firmly tighten the bolts to clamp the base plate at the desired angle.
BEFORE PUTTING INTO OPERATION
1) BATTERY CHARGING
A battery that is new or has not been used for a longer period does
not develop its full capacity until after several charging / discharging
cycles.
A significantly reduced working period after charging indicates that
the batteries are used and must be replaced.
2) TO REMOVE OR INSTALL BATTERY PACK
Locate latches on side of battery pack and depress both sides to
release battery pack from your tool. Remove battery pack from your
tool. After recharge insert the battery pack into the battery port. A
simple push and slight pressure will be sufficient.
STARTING OPERATION
1) SWITCHING ON AND OFF
For starting operation of the machine, actuate the lock-off button (1)
first, then press and hold the On/Off switch (2) afterwards. To switch
off the machine, release the On/Off switch (2).
For safety reasons the On/Off switch of the machine cannot be
locked; it must remain pressed during the entire operation.
2) CONTROLING THE STROKE RATE
Increasing or reducing the pressure on the On/Off switch (2) enables
stepless stroke-rate control of the switched-on machine.
3) CONTACT PROTECTOR
3
4
The contact protector (11) attached to the housing prevents
unintentional contact with the saw blade while working and should
not be removed.
PENDULUM ACTION SETTING
The four pendulum action settings allow optimum adaptation of
cutting speed, cutting capacity and cutting pattern to the material
being sawed.
The pendulum action can be adjusted in four steps with the
adjustment lever (5). Switching is possible with the machine running:
Step 0
: No pendulum action
Step I
: Small pendulum action
Step II
: Medium pendulum action
Step III
: Large pendulum action
Recommendations:
– The more narrow and clean the cutting edge should be, the lower
the pendulum action level should be selected (or switched off).
– For thin materials, e. g. sheet metal, switch the pendulum action
off.
– For hard materials, e. g. steel, work with low pendulum action.
– For soft materials and when sawing in the direction of the grain,
work with maximum pendulum action.
The optimal setting can be determined by practical testing.
