15. Use (2) M10-1.5 x 30 cap screws, (2) 10mm flat
washers, and (2) 10mm lock washers to attach
chuck guard mounting arm to back of headstock
(see
Figure 19
).

16. Loosen M6-1 x 8 set screw on chuck guard outside
lock collar and remove collar from shaft (see Figure
20
).
17. Loosen set screw on inside lock collar so collar
moves freely (see Figure 20 ).
18. Insert chuck guard shaft into arm, while lifting
spring pin. Gently rotate chuck guard until spring pin
settles into detent on shaft (see Figure 20 ).
19. Slide both lock collars up against chuck guard arm
and tighten (see
Figure 20
).
20. Use (2) M12-1.75 x 20 cap screws, (2) 12mm flat
washers, and (2) 12mm lock washers to install tool
rack at end of lathe bed (see
Figure 21
).
Note: The tool rack can also be installed on the
front of the lathe bed using the same fasteners
listed above.
