Step 5  Installing the Hopper – 

Place hopper brackets on left side of Heater and connect using two 

10/32 x ½’’ bolts for the front bracket and one 10/32 x 1/2 ‘’ bolt for the rear bracket. Slide Hopper 
chute into slot on left side of heater down through air chute inside of heater. Insert hopper into 
brackets until dropped into slots in bracket.  Attach Hopper flange using four 10/32 x ½’’ bolts. 

Step 6 Installing the Hopper Heat Shield -

  Insert Aluminum heat shield between hopper and heater 

by dropping from the top down into position. Tabs in heat shield will sit in slots on hopper brackets. 

Step 7 Installing the Hopper Lid – 

Attach Hopper lid using two 10/32 x ½’’ bolts and lock nuts. Do

 

not tighten past threads on locknuts to allow for enough room so lid shuts completely when closed.  

Step 8 Installing Spring handles- 

Attach spring handles to the shut off plate, doors and damper by 

twisting clockwise until secure. Do not overtighten on doors allowing them to move freely.

 

Step 9 Installing the grill rails – 

L brackets should face downward.

 

Using two

 metal screws per 

rail. Align over holes and tighten. 

Step 10 Installing Grills – 

Insert Bottom Grill. Insert at angle to allow clearance.  Insert Top grill.    

Step 11 Assembling the Ash Pan.

 Attach Handle to ash pan front and ash pan. Bolts place ash pan 

front plate over ash pan aligning over holes. Painted side out with shorter distance from holes to top 
up. 

Place handle over holes and insert two 1/4-20 x 3/4’’ bolts

. Tighten using two ¼-20 lock washers 

and nuts.

Assembling Hopper Handle

 –Using two ¼-20 X 3/4 ‘’ bolts, two ¼-20 lockwashers and two 

¼-20 nuts.

   

Step 13 Installing the Dome Thermometer – 

Remove Nut from Dome thermometer. Insert rod part 

of dome thermometer through front Top hole Centered on Cookstove Oven door. Assemble nut to 
backside Dome Thermometer on backside of door.  

Step 14  Assembling Stove Pipe and Rain cap –

 Place first piece of stove pipe over collar on top of 

stove with the crimped end facing up. Attach second piece of stove pipe again with crimped end up.  
Next build the rain cap by folding the two tabs with holes in the Rain cap collar out 90 degrees from 
collar. Insert long Bolt through first tab then into the second tab. Attach tightening nut to bolt. Place on 
stove pipe and tighten till snug. 

Shutoffs -  

The stove is supplied with one hopper shutoff.  Attach leather strip to handle to help keep 

shutoff in place while not using. Keeping the leather strip tight when the shutoff is in off position help 
keep the shutoff in place. The shut off Key should sit parallel to the ground when in off position. You 
may need to pull shutoff up into correct. When shutting off stove slide shutoff into key hole located 
just under the hopper from the left side of stove. Push into hopper until you reach a fully closed 
position.
