5. Fix the light switch base to the wall. It uses the same holes as
your old light switch. Screws are supplied.
6. Clip the light switch cover back onto the base.
7. You can now pair the light switch with other Wondrwall
components (see page 30).
8. Repeat this for each light switch that you want to use.
Thermostat
The Wondrwall thermostat replaces your existing thermostat, or for
new installations, locate it about 1.5 m (5 feet) o
ff
the floor. Site it
away from any heating or cooling sources such as direct sunlight,
hot water pipes or fireplaces. lamps, outside doors or windows,
damp areas or areas that lack air circulation.
If you are unsure about how to do this, or prefer not to
perform this task, consult
a
NICEIC approved electrician
or licensed HVAC professional.
1. Switch o
ff
the electricity supply to your HVAC unit or boiler and
remove the cover from the old thermostat.
2. Make
a
note of the terminal location for each wire connected to
the thermostat wiring terminals.
3. Remove each wire from the old thermostat and secure them so
they do not fall back into the wall. Attach
a
label to each wire as
you indentify each wire to ensure that you match the correct
wire and terminal.
