PRESSURE COOKING WITH THE PRESSURE PRO
Before cooking
Before each use, please check the safety valve, the pressure
regulating valve and the sealing ring for function and cleanliness,
also check the correct fit of the pressure relief valve.
Pay particular attention to the safety valve on the underside of the
lid. Using your finger, check the pin for free movement (press pin
against the resistance of the spring) each time before you cook.
Fill the pot with the liquid (water, sauce or stock) required for steam build-up (minimum quantity regardless of the amount
of food approx. 300 ml).
Caution: Always fill in enough liquid. The pot must never “cook dry”.
Add food.
The minimum filling quantity of liquid is 300 ml, the maximum filling quantity is 2/3 of the pot volume. For swelling food, the
maximum filling quantity is 1/2 of the pot volume. The filling quantities always refer to food + liquid.
Please note
To prevent the bottom of the pot from taking damage, you should only add salt to water that is already boiling and stir
well.

Safety features
3. The pressure relief valve
In the unlikely event of overpressure, the valve opens automatically
and the overpressure can be released.
If the pressure relief valve triggers, it has to be pushed back to its
initial position so the pot can build up pressure.

4. The safety window
An additional safety feature is the safety window built into the lid.
If the pressure inside the pot is too high, the sealing ring is pressed
outwards through this window and the steam can escape.
