Boldface
Used to highlight the key words (inportant words
that should never be modified when input).
italic
Used to denote the parameters that should be
replaced by actual values when practical use in
command line.
[ ]
Items(keywords or arguments) in square brackets [ ]
are optional.
(x | y | ... )
Alternative items are grouped in braces and
separated by vertical bars. One is selected.
[x|y|…]
Optional alternative items are grouped in square
brackets and separated by vertical bars. One or
none is selected.
<x-y>
Values range from x to y. One is selected.
$
A line starting with the $ sign is comments.
