Coffee nozzle drips for a
long time after brewing
Is the adjusting knob
B
in the home position
|
?
> After brewing, always return the adjusting knob back to the home position
|
to
prevent it from dripping for a long time afterwards
Water is escaping from the
handle on the pad cartridge
Was the coffee pad inserted incorrectly (see Fig. 3)?
> Check to see whether the coffee pad has been correctly inserted into the pad
cartridge.
If the paper edge of the coffee pad extends beyond the edge of the recess, the
pad cartridge will not close tightly.
The adjusting knob is
blocked and no coffee can
escape.
The opening in the middle of the pad cartridge is blocked.
> Unplug the mains plug and allow the appliance to cool down for an hour.
If this does not remove the blockage, you will need to make an emergency opening:
> Unfold a paper clip and make sure that the edge of the wire has no splinters so
as not to damage the seal in the appliance.
> Protect yourself against coffee which could squirt out of the appliance and
which may still be hot. Hold the paper clip with a piece of kitchen towel.
The grip of the pad cartridge has 2 small bore holes
M
in the middle (see Fig. 4).
> Insert the wire vertically into the upper opening and press it lightly towards the
inside.
After around 3cm, the pressure will suddenly abate and a little coffee will come out.
This means that the adjusting knob has been unblocked.
> Remove the pad cartridge and clean it thoroughly.
> Before each brew, check the following:
- is the opening in the centre of the pad cartridge free,
- are the pads undamaged.
