Cause
Solution
Door cables dropped from the drum.
• Check the cable tension.
• In automatic doors, check the position of limit switches.
• Check the spacing between the guides along its whole length. Check, if the
door is not blocked in the guides.
• Check the angle of the horizontal guides (if the guides have proper slope).
• Check the position of door bumpers.
• Check if the length of both cables is identical.
The door opens difficultly/ suddenly drops. The door leaf is not balanced (the
door drops or opens by itself).
• Check the spring tension - open the door to its half open position, the door
should remain in this position. If the door clearly drops, increase the spring
tension. If the door clearly rises, decrease the spring tension. Both springs
should have the same tension.
• Check the springs conditions, and lubricate.
• Check, if the cables are wound up and tightened properly.
High resistance is observed during door operation. The door leaf does not
open smoothly.
• Check the correct and smooth rotation of rollers during door opening and
closing. If the rollers put resistance or fail to rotate, they should be adjusted
and lubricated.
• Check the guides for dirt that may cause incorrect door operation.
• Check the springs, and lubricate it.
Vibrations of the mounting construction are observed during door operation.
• Check all fixing points of all joints, and regulate, if necessary (screws mount-
ing the drive, guides and screws mounting hinges, etc.).
• Check the proper mounting of the horizontal guides.
The lock does not open/ close. Incorrect operation of the lock.
• Grease the barrel insert.
• Check the operation of a bolt. Lubricate, if any resistance is observed.
• Check the correct mounting of the rod connecting the lock with the bolt.
• Check the operation of a latch that blocks the lock.
Anti-drop safety device was activated.
• Check the cables. Replace the damaged cables with new ones.
• Replace the safety device with a new one.
Cables are improperly winded up on a drum.
• Check the cables for correct winding up and tension.
• Check the length of cables.
Rollers slipped out from the guide.
• Check the limit switches in automatic doors for proper regulation.
• Check the distance between the guides.
• Check the guides for any deformations.
Spring break device was activated.
• Replace the device with a new one.
Door leaf does not drop equally during closing.
• Check the cables winding up around drums.
The door is closed, but the sealing does not touch the floor.
• Check the cable winding up on a drum.
• Check the proper regulation of limit switches in automatic doors.
• Check, if the floor is levelled.
The door is closed, the top panel does not reach the lintel.
• Check the proper mounting of the top roller holder.
• In automatic doors, check the position of limit switches.
• Check if the door leaf properly goes behind the lintel.
Too low height of the door leaf compared to the guides.
• Check the bottom sealing, when the door is in its closed position.
• Check if the door leaf properly goes behind the lintel.
• Check the gaps between the panels.
First signs of spring corrosion. High noise is observed during spring operation.
• Lubricate the springs.
