• If provided, the +12 VDC and -12 VDC supplies the PC104 and PC104-

Plus connector. Also, some flat-panel displays r12 VDC.

Industrial Operating Temperature

• Fanless -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F)
• Fan control provided (fan powered from FAN connector, +12 VDC)

Additional Features

• Watchdog timer from 1 second to 255 minutes
• Real-Time Clock (RTC) with optional battery back up
• Software controlled activity LED
• BIOS buzzer alerts (beeps) to indicate POST failure

Before You Begin

Review the warnings in this section and the best practice

recommendations (see “Best Practices” on page 71) when using and

handling the WINSYSTEMS EBC-C413. Adherence to these

recommendations provides an optimal user experience and prevents

damage. Read this document and become familiar with the EBC-C413

before proceeding.

4.1

Warnings

Only qualified personnel should configure and install the EBC-C413. While

observing the best practices, pay particular attention to the following:

FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THESE BEST PRACTICES MAY DAMAGE THE EBC-C413

AND VOID YOUR WARRANTY.

Avoid Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)

Only handle the circuit board and other bare electronics when electrostatic

discharge (ESD) protection is in place. Having a wrist strap and a fully grounded

workstation is the minimum ESD protection required before the ESD seal on

the product bag is broken.
