Inflating the CareCube Cushion
Prior to lifting with the CareCube, the wound nurse must decide, which lifting height is
required and deflate the CareCube with the desired color pointing up/down. Help the
CareCube to fold correctly during deflation:
Red side up/down
=
Max 30 cm lifting height
Blue side up/down
=
Max. 40 cm lifting height
Grey side up/down
=
Max. 48 cm lifting height
Place the deflated CareCube with the desired color pointing
upwards underneath the patient’s leg or heel depending on
which zone should be accessible for treatment. If the patient is
incapable of lifting the foot or bending the leg, the CareCube
Cushion be slid in place using a slide sheet or similar.
Follow these steps in order to lift:
1.
Chose lifting height and empty the cushion so that the
desired color points upwards
2.
Place the empty CareCube Cushion under the desired
spot of the patient’s foot/leg.
3.
Insert the net cable into the socket.
4.
Insert the air hose in the mounting on the compressor,
marked with the word “OUT” and a green dot.
5.
Insert the air hose into the valve on the CareCube
Cushion.
6.
Turn on the compressor, using the switch
7.
After approximately 20 seconds, the cushion is fully
inflated.
