combination, set as for DOL-starting. If it is wired
into one of the leads to the motor terminals (U1/
V1/W1 or U2/V2/W2), set to the value 0.58xFLC.
– The power wiring to the terminal board depends on
rated motor power P2, available voltage and the
starting mode. For the respective arrangements
of bridge connections at the terminals refer to the
following table and Fig.5:
– Refer to respective installation and operating
instructions when using in conjunction with auto-
matic pump control gear.
6. Commissioning/
Decommissioning
– It is necessary to position the pump such that one
of the vent plugs (Fig.1, Item 441h and Fig.4) faces
upwards. If necessary, this can be corrected by
undoing the housing screws and turning the spa-
cer/motor unit into tho proper position.
Take care not to damage the hou-
s ing gasket.
– Close discharge isolating valve.
– Open suction isolating valve.
– Fill pipe system with water and vent.
– Open uppermost vent plug and vent pump until
liquid appears, then close vent plug again.
Dry-running of pump damages the
mechanical seal.
– Depending on fluid temperature and
system pressure, beware of high-tem-
perature media escaping as liquid or
vapour when opening the vent plug.
Danger from scalding!
– Check by briefly switching on the pump whether
actual sense of rotation corresponds to the arrow
on the pump housing. If incorrect, change any two
phase wires.
ATTENTION!
ATTENTION!
– Switch on pump,
– open discharge isolating valve,
– repeat venting of pipe system and pump,
In order to avoid early wear and
subsequent defects to the pump
ensure that the pump operates at
a minimum capacity of 10–15% of
nominal flow rate.
– If the pump suction is connected to a tank, ensure
that a sufficiently high liquid level at the pump suc-
tion port is maintained at all times to prevent the
pump from running dry. The minimum static inlet
pressure as required by catalogue/data sheet must
be maintained.
Decommissioning:
– Close both isolating valves. Drain pump body if
necessary.
– Pump must be filled and vented before each
recommissioning.
7. Maintenance
The mechanical seal is maintenance-free. Slight drip-
ping can be expected during the running-in period.
A visual check is however required from time to time.
A distinctly visible leakage rate requires an exchange
of the mechanical seal. WILO offers a repair set con-
taining all parts necessary for the exchange.
