8.2 Adjusting the pump capacity
• Select desired control mode (refer to section 6.2).
• Preselect pump capacity (pressure head) at the dial button according to system
requirements (Fig. 1, Item 2, see page 5).
• If head requirements are unknown it is recommended to begin with the factory
setting of 10’.
• If the heating capacity proves insufficient increase head setting until system
operates correctly.
• Reduce head setting if the heating capacity is too high or excessive hydraulic
noise is present.
• Select night setback mode; switch either to ON or OFF (refer to section 6.2).
9 Maintenance
Maintenance and repair work should only be carried out by qualified
personnel!
The pump is maintenance free. Self-lubricated by the system fluid, the pump
has no seals to leak or coupling to break.
10 Problems, causes and remedies
10.1 Pump is switched-on but does not run:
• Check electrical fuses,
• Check voltage available at the pump (note nameplate data).
• Locked rotor:
• switch off pump.
• Close suction and discharge isolating valves and let pump cool down. Remove
vent plug, and with a flat bladed screwdriver check if shaft turns freely (with
the power off).
• Switch on pump.
• Should the problem not be automatically resolved via the automatic
deblocking system, please refer to the instructions as described above.
WARNING! Risk of electrical shock!
Potential dangers caused by electrical energy must be excluded
The pump must be switched off for all repair work and secured against
unauthorised operation.
Damage to the connecting cable should only be
repaired by a qualified electrician.
WARNING! Risk of scalding!
Depending on fluid temperature and system pressure there is the possibility
of hot water in liquid or gaseous state suddenly erupting under great force
when opening the vent plug. Note the severe danger of scalding!
